Christ Only
PBA-006"Christ Only" is a rich, multi-layered composition featuring strings, piano, and euphonium alongside the SATB choir. The piece is a declaration of singular devotion — that Christ alone is sufficient, that no other pursuit satisfies.
Philippians 3:8 — "I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord"
A meditation on the sufficiency of Christ — inspired by Paul's declaration in Philippians that everything else is loss compared to knowing Christ.
The instrumental parts (strings, piano, euphonium) should support, not overpower, the vocal lines. The tempo (108 BPM) should feel confident and forward-moving. Let the text drive the phrasing.
