"Believe His Prophets" was composed for the NAGSDA Youth Camp 2016. Based on King Jehoshaphat's declaration before battle, the piece is a call to trust in God's word spoken through His prophets — a message especially relevant for young people navigating a world of competing voices.

2 Chronicles 20:20 — "Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper"

Inspiration

Drawn from 2 Chronicles 20:20 (KJV), where Jehoshaphat tells the people of Judah to believe God's prophets and they would prosper.

Performance Notes

Steady 4/4 at 80 BPM. The SATB lines should be confident and declarative. Piano accompaniment supports but doesn't dominate. Build towards the climactic repetition of 'believe his prophets'.
